3/17/2009 - Gonda to Help Expand Preclinical Efforts in DBM Drug Discovery

Dr. Matthew A. Gonda, an independent member of the DiscoveryBioMed board of directors, has augmented his role in the Company by providing his broad expertise in drug discovery and development to DBM as a consultant.  "DBM has specific lead compounds emerging that will be used as scaffolds for medicinal chemistry to generate therapeutic drug candidates for cystic fibrosis and renal hypertensive disorders," explained CEO Dr. Erik Schwiebert. "Dr. Gonda has the deep understanding and experience in scripting the best preclinical and regulatory path forward on these and other candidates and in finding the right match in terms of pharma partners to move these therapeutic candidates forward."
